Earlier this year, on 19th March 2016 to be exact, I got to meet the greatest Miracles to the Barnard Family… Joshua, Miané and Ruben. The event was their Christening Ceremony and I fell in love with these three little ones.
When mom Nadia contacted me last week and said its time for their family shoot I was super excited – this was their first ever shoot as a family, well apart from the Christening.
Having missed a maternity shoot due to these little ones born prematurely, and missing the newborn shoot due to the hospitalization, this shoot was bound to be special. We headed out to Irene Dairy Farm on a sunny Saturday afternoon with Mom, Dad and Grandparents and had some fun laughing and capturing these sweet memories as the little ones experienced something new.
Miané had no fear. She was heading off in all directions, loving the long grass and the freedom to just run ahead of us.
Ruben was a bit more serious and everytime I thought I’m catching his smile he would drop the smile and stare at me very seriously. – but I did manage to capture a smile or two. He just loved having his Grandparents close by.
Joshua, Little Fighter Josh, you may be a little introvert but how everyone adores you! Mom and Dad knows exactly how to get him laughing out of his little belly, and with that shy look and shy smile he is stealing hearts as far as he goes.
Knowing the road that this family has traveled this far, this isn’t just a family shoot…. this is special, this is a blessing, this is Faith and this is the Barnard Family – and I am looking very much forward to our next adventure!
